Calypso Cilantro
Coriandrum sativum
No kidding, of all the Cilantro varieties I have tried, this one is by far the best. Very slow bolting, and I can cut the whole plant down to a few inches 3-4 times and it comes back. Bright green and highly fragrant, save a few to go to seed and then either collect and dry the seed or just let it reseed itself in the area. I love making Cilantro pesto from this one, and regularly add to salads. These plants will consistently hold their leaf before bolting for at least three weeks after fully grown. Sometimes I just grow them out in a flat in the greenhouse. They do very well in containers, by themselves or with a few other herbs.
